2019 Annual 5K Road Race & Walk raised just under $40,000

Team Brianiacinsaniacs are our top fundraising team! They raised over $9,000

Our 7th Annual 5K Road Race & Walk was a huge success despite the rain.

Teams of walkers and runners began fundraising back in February for this event. I am pleased to say the event raised just under $40,000 after expenses! With over $5,000 raised that day. We had 23 teams signed up and 368 total registered participants! Race results can be found on Coolrunning.com. Our Top 3 over all are 1. Chris Tringali 2. Cole Bolduc 3. Robbie Cook. I would love to add that out of 117 runners my son Nicholas James Gaudet placed 6th overall and 2nd in his division running in memory of his brother Cory Gaudet So proud of him. Our scholarship winners were Lexi Cole and Steven Reyes. We can't thank everyone enough for your continued support! We had 57 sponsors who donated funds, supplies or their time & talent. We would especially like to thank G-Form for providing all of our event t-shirts once again this year! Included in that I would like to thank Stop and Shop Bellingham for providing all the food, paper goods, ice and soda for our cookout. Park & Shop Blackstone for the water, Coco cola for the powerade. The Run'N Wild Band for donating their time & talent (they rocked it for us once again -this is their 3rd straight year playing this event) To Alexandra St. Thomas & Buck St. Thomas for singing our National Anthem. The Blackstone Lions for donating the hot dogs and providing volunteers to serve food at our cookout. All the women who volunteered on registration tables, product tables and raffle tables and grabbing the race bibs at the end of the finish line. In addition to Judy Deguire who helps out with the race placements at the end. To our ½ mark water station team and also our road spotters. To the many people who help set up the day before and break everything down the day of. To Chuck Ladouceur for once again helping out with sound system. To Taylor Rental Norfolk for providing our tent, tables & chairs! This was much needed on this raining day. To the Blackstone-Millville Regional School District for allowing us to hold our event their every year (the school our son Cory graduated from) to the Blackstone Police Department for providing police detail helping us to ensure everyone stays safe. To all of the businesses and individuals especially Home depot Bellingham, Rocky's Ace Hardware who donated raffles to our table (all raffles were donated) to my team captains and individuals who went above & beyond to raise money and spread awareness! The success of this event would not have been possible without you. Top 3 fundraising individuals 1. Cindy Jolicoeur raising $4,175, 2. Frank Towle $3,820 and Nicole Wasserman $1,310. Top 3 Fundraising Teams 1. Brainiac Insaniacs with team co captains all of which are brain tumor survivors Cindy Jolicoeur Terri-Lynn Bartlett Hart Cheryl Magri raising $9272, 2nd place Fish On in memory of Joey Makar with team captain Frank Towle raising $5,055 and Team Liv in memory of Olivia Catarina (our brave angel) with team captain Tammy Catarina raising $2,505. I would also like to mention family teams in memory of Cory team Angels Among us captain Mary Falardeau , Cancer Crushers captain Jayde Gaudet,  Globo Gym Purple Cobras Mikayla & Nicholas Gaudet, team Never Give Up Nicole Gaudet, Miles for Smiles Tina Carroll, Beazles Brawlers in memory of our brave angel Emma B Adams captain Catherine Rasco  and Emma ‘s mom Jennifer Adams and Evan's Crew in memory of Evan T.
